In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 22, Jesus said to the disciples of the Pharisees, "Repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God." This got me thinking that we really should not owe anybody anything. Since God created us, we ultimately belong to him. Therefore, we should repay him by giving ourselves to him completely. This is our calling, after all.
