To test Jesus, the scribes and the Pharisees said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?'' He said to them, "Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.'' In response, they went away one by one. This is such a good answer for us to keep in mind: Do not ever condemn anyone unless you are sinless! (This is why judging is a sin.) We know that only God is holy and perfect, yet even he, being merciful, does not ever wish to condemn us. To be like him, we must be merciful like him.
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-53120902296037217402024-03-18T13:57:00.000-07:002024-03-18T14:55:33.703-07:00**God's Mercy for All*
Today's entrance antiphon from Psalm 56: Have mercy on me, O God, for people assail me; they fight me all day long and oppress me. Here the psalmist asks God to have mercy on him rather than to take pity on his enemies. This makes sense, for if God grants him mercy, he'd surely protect him from his enemies. Nevertheless, every single one of us needs God's mercy whether you are the assailer or the victim..
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-4912212408340699042024-03-17T11:54:00.000-07:002024-03-17T11:54:39.689-07:00**Joy Brings Sorrow
The more we are overjoyed with Christ, the more we pity those who do not believe in him.
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-44170963744065431762024-03-17T11:11:00.000-07:002024-03-17T11:57:15.406-07:00***Be like a Mirror***
This morning I got out of bed and saw a perfect round circle of sunlight on my bedroom wall. I realized that it was caused by the low morning sunlight, coming thru the window, hitting the mirror, and getting reflected onto the opposite wall. It was quite remarkable. You usually think of sunlight producing dark shadows, not bright reflections. My inspired thought was that we should be like that mirror reflecting the light of Christ perfectly for all to see.
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-53465594467877293352024-03-16T09:52:00.000-07:002024-03-16T09:52:23.913-07:00**Cause of Profound Peace*
Communion experience. As he was teaching in the temple area of Jerusalem, they tried to arrest him, but no one laid a hand upon him because his hour had not yet come. This got me thinking that we all have our hours to meet as we follow the Lord on our journey. We should welcome every one of them as we move closer to uniting with our Lord in heaven.
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-54074227609516398352024-03-15T13:42:00.000-07:002024-03-15T16:35:17.679-07:00***Feeling the Holy Spirit's Presence***
The Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus in bodily form as a dove after he'd been baptized by John the Baptist. On Pentecost the Holy Spirit appeared as tongues of fire, which parted and came to rest on each of those present. For us, this Spirit of truth is invisible, but we can definitely feel his presence within us. Here are some telling signs: You feel a great zeal for the Lord as if your heart is on fire; Christ is now your primary source of joy; you love and pity all humanity, praying unceasingly for its salvation; your focus is exclusively on pleasing the Lord, not yourself; you look forward to going to him . . .
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-49387908168363654892024-03-14T13:02:00.000-07:002024-03-14T13:02:44.457-07:00*****Most Beautiful, Powerful Force
Communion experience. (2) Since the hierarchy of the Church has not been vigilant enough and has allowed evil to infiltrate and corrupt her, the Lord God is now chastising the Church in the process of purifying and restoring her.
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-73872703311852386132024-03-14T11:30:00.000-07:002024-03-14T13:17:53.544-07:00**Levels of Art
Look at the artists of the world, they make films, write songs, present concerts and shows, do paintings, sculptures, etc. Here are the various levels of their works. At the lowest level are the works that are blasphemous, offensive to God, or pure evil. Next level up we have works that are worldly and impure; they are not from the Lord for sure. On the next higher level are works that are more of less neutral'; the may be clean and attractive, but don't really uplift you spiritually. Then we have impressive works that are inspiring and more spiritual, but not pointing to God specifically. At the highest level are works that actually inspire and draw people to God. Since our God is a specific person, the God of Christ, any work that does not point to him cannot be fully meaningful.
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-52017594576586731762024-03-13T18:42:00.000-07:002024-03-13T18:42:43.813-07:00*****My Blogging History*****
Well, I have exceeded 15,000 posts. I started blogging in 2009, just to tell my conversion story and it was done quickly. Then more thoughts came to me and I wondered what's happening. I figured that after posting 60, 70, or maybe 80 times, I'd probably run out of things to say. After all, there are only so many ways you can say "I love you" to the Lord. As blogging started to take off in 2010, I asked him what he's up to. It gradually became very clear to me that he wanted to draw all into union with him through the Holy Eucharist! This amazed me that he should use me, not even a kindergarten level kid before him. Then I realized that in blogging what he wanted me to say, he's really teaching me too. I am so grateful that I've learned so far so much from him that I am now living the most exciting life as a Catholic. The Lord can truly change us if we do not harden our hearts! He is truly the one to be worshipped, adored, praised, loved, and thanked forever!
imperfectsainthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209703421377718447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067618590018471969.post-30233228779891137822024-03-13T16:55:00.000-07:002024-03-13T16:55:35.101-07:00***How Sin Affects Peace***
When we sin, we lose our peace.
