In today's Gospel reading from Luke 12, Jesus speaks to the people: "There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops." Consequently, we are completely transparent to the Lord, who sees and knows everything about us. Thinking that we can do whatever we want and get away with it only makes us look foolish and pitiable. The right response is to let this awareness make us holy and a delight for the Lord to behold.
