This is today's Gospel acclamation, based on Ephesians 1:17-18: "May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we may know what is the hope that belongs to our call." The phrase "the eyes of our hearts" makes me see that our hearts can indeed help us distinguish truth from falsity, the good from the bad. The Lord always speaks to our hearts. Now I "see" that our hearts have both eyes and ears.
