They are related and may not seem to be serious, but committing them repeatedly can make them serious. I am talking about criticizing someone negatively and telling others about the person. It's easy to notice others' faults, but not your own perhaps even worse ones. In Matthew 7, Jesus taught his disciples to stop judging others by asking, "Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove that splinter from your eye,' while the wooden beam is in your eye?" The other sin, sharing your critical view of someone with others is a sin of gossip, an extension of judging others. The basic cause of all this is the lack of humility.
