"Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

***Pitiable Fools*

It seems that the commandment people rampantly violate nowadays is the one You shall not bear false witness. In this country, fake news and unconscionable politicians have been spreading lies nonstop for years, if not decades. I truly feel sorry for them, for this is serious transgression and we'll all have to face the Lord God to give an account of ourselves one day..

***Home in Christ***

Communion experience. All of me . . . my heart, my mind, my soul, and my spirit are now home in Christ and I experience an unfathomable peace.

***Why We Are Divided***

In today's reading from Luke 12, Jesus said to his disciples, "Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." This shows that Jesus is truly God and we are sinners. Do you see it? There just isn't another way to explain that.

**Hypocrisy, a Subtle Evil*

The Lord does not like hypocrites. They are the ones to whom Jesus said "Woe to you" repeatedly (Matthew 23). Any Christian who addresses Jesus as Lord but does not obey him becomes a hypocrite. To obey and fail is OK, for you can always try again. But to start out not obeying is being dead wrong.

**Do All for God's Sake*

Catholics do not always dress properly for Mass. At Mass this morning, the lead singer wore a dress with her two arms completely exposed from above the shoulder on. It's summer, but the church was air-conditioned. That might be all right when you are the star performing on some stage, but not when you become a distraction to all there to worship the Lord. I've seen a lot worse in the past. Anyway, we need to dress and actually do all things for the Lord's sake and not for ourselves.

*****Critically Important Message for Christians*****

On July 10, I posted "Good Sensible Video" on "how to never get angry or bothered by anyone" which gave some really good sensible advice. This video today, an NDE story on how critically important it is to forgive others, makes a fitting sequel. It lasts just over 30-minutes, but every word of it is worth listening to.

***What's Red & Can Make Us White as Snow?*

The Most Precious Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

**Worthiest Goal**

From today's first reading from Joshua 24: Decide today whom you will serve. We all need to choose a goal in life to keep us going. Most people aim for getting rich or famous, but you'll find that the wisest and most rewarding goal to be serving the Lord God—this is how he has made us.

**Picture of Reality**

Christ is the brightest light shining before us, but many are afraid of looking at it because it's too dazzling and would expose all their hidden sins. They look around and see innumerable things that are attractive, so they head straight for them, not knowing that they can lead them away from God the truth forever. This is the clear but sad picture I see today.

*****Not to Be Neglected!***

I was at the emergency department of a hospital this morning and saw the numerous patients suffering from various illnesses there seeking help, with many clearly in pretty bad shape. We naturally seek help when we are not well physically—but we often neglect seeking help when our soul is unwell. Just know that an unclean and sick soul cannot enter heaven and must be cleansed and healed in this life before we die!

*****God's Great Mercy***

Here's a wise message that can save you from hell.

***We Cannot Fail!***

Communion time thought: The almighty God loves us to death, so we cannot possibly fail to become victorious in the end if we love and trust in him.

****Hard Choice****

Today is the Memorial of Saint Maximilian Kolbe, Priest and Martyr. The saint showed his greatest love by volunteering to die in place of another prisoner at Auschwitz. When we are in love with Christ, it's easy to feel that we'd be happy to die for him or the Holy Mother, but to die for another sinner seems to be another matter, especially if the person happens to be a great evil one. Then the Lord showed me that he died for all of us and we're not to select whom to die for or not, for to love him is to love all others.

**A "Secret" to Realize**

As sinners, we are easily enslaved by sin. Then we turn to Christ and he easily sets us free. It follows that the more we abandon ourselves to the Lord, the more we are set free by him.

***Ultimate Personal Relationship**

The Lord Christ exists. How we relate ourselves to him is of paramount importance. When we get this relationship right, we get our relationships with all others right. If we get along with the Lord, we'll know how to get along with all others. So everything . . . our entire wellbeing now, our salvation, our eternal destination . . . all hinge upon our personal relationship with Christ. Love and follow him, and we can't possibly go wrong!

*****What's Exciting About Christ:***

There's no limit to how much you can let him love you and fill you with joy!

***Unavoidable Reality***

One day we'll appear before Christ the Lord to give an account of ourselves.

**Becoming like Children*

In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 18, Jesus said to his disciples, "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven." All of us have been children once. I still remember the days when I was one, I was carefree, playing and having fun most of the time, knowing that my parents were taking full care of me. I believe that this is the way the Lord wants us to feel about him, as he is our heavenly Father who can take full care of us, making us carefree.
