Today I realize that we are complex sinful beings that only God our creator can fundamentally change. We can change ourselves on the surface only. This is a basic fact we need to recognize if we ever hope to change ourselves to experience the freedom, peace, and joy in God. It shows that we fundamentally need Christ.
