"Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

**Good, Happy Feeling

Knowing that you actually serve God and are useful to him.

*****Incredibly Amazing Fact*****

The Lord God is most lofty and mighty, yet we can attain intimate spiritual union with him through receiving the Holy Eucharist.

****Most Smart Living

God knows everything about us—our thoughts, our motivations, our intentions, even our subconscious mind. So let's live with this awareness and become perfect. That's right, I said perfect, for nothing is impossible for God. To give ourselves up to him has to be the smartest move we can possibly make. By the same token, to think that you can do anything without God's knowledge makes you instantly the biggest fool of all.

**Time to Decide and Act*

In our time, we can follow all the news and propagandas, what's going on around the world and happening in our own country, our own society, and read about what many others are saying on all the social media. What we learn may be interesting, but could be all fake, rumors or projections. Will all these things draw you close to God? On the other hand, you can pray a lot for all, read the scripture and other inspiring books, receive the Lord more often at Mass, and serve him with great diligence. Which of the two ways do you think is the better one to follow? Time is running out, so we need to decide and act before it's too late.

**Pristine Conscience a Must

The Lord God has given each of us a conscience. But living in this sinful world, our conscience can grow muddy or dull. Once you know the Lord or better yet, attain union with him, he clears up and sharpens your conscience so that you see what's right and what's wrong, what's clearly his will and what's not. To become holy and pleasing to God, a pristine conscience is necessary. And it'll make you feel good!

**Enjoying the World in Freedom

Most popular songs are love songs. They are about romantic love, falling in love, etc. The tune is usually beautiful, but the lyrics can be sensual at times. God's pure love is on an entire different level. Once you have tasted his love, you'll feel differently about those songs. In fact, because they are not pure, they can pull you away from God. When I hear these songs, I marvel at how those composers came up with such catchy melodies and the writers, such clever lyrics. Now, they make nice background music while I wash dishes. Still enjoyable, they just don't have any hold on me anymore. I use this as an example to show that once you know God, you start enjoying the world in freedom, meaning that you are no longer attached to all things of the world. The Lord does set all those who seek him free.

***Suffering, Our Crucial Test***

Accepting all sufferings in this life for the sake of Christ will lead you to eternal joy in the next. Rejecting them for your own sake now will lead you to unending suffering later.

**Big Flaw of Our Generation

In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 11, Jesus spoke about his generation. It became clear that our generation today is the same. The people are so conceited and opinionated that they are quick to criticize and judge others, and don't have the humility to listen to anyone who might be speaking the truth.

**A Secret Process

If you want to become a saint, be sure that solely it's because you love God. Therefore, go about it in secret, known to him alone.

**God's No. 1 Wish for Us

It is to give us eternal life, for he loves us so much. Please make a note of it.

***Best Thing I Do***

We do a lot of things in our lifetime. Today I see that the best thing I do on any day is going to Mass. For at Mass, I get to receive the Lord into me, he removes all my sins and heals my soul, and my union with him in the Holy Spirit is strengthened again. The Lord just sets you right before him. There's nothing else I do that can top this.

***Living-Your-Last-Day Advice*

One good piece of advice is to live each day as our last day on earth. Naturally, if you are still young, you're not likely to take this advice seriously. Since I am already old (and wiser), I automatically realize that any day can truly be my last day on earth. As a result, I now always do what matters or is important to God first. I try to do my best and not be concerned about whether I get to finish doing it. This removes all anxieties, leaving me with only peace. I believe this is how the Lord wants us to live, no matter what age you're at.

**Proper Response to God

Communion experience. When the Lord was ready to offer himself in the Holy Eucharist for our consumption, I saw it as a completely selfless act with great humility. The only proper response I felt was to give all of myself to him as act of total obedience.

***We'll Always Have Hope

Today is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the Gospel reading from Luke 1, the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to announce to her that she would bear a son to be named Jesus. When Mary asked the angel how that could be since she had no relations with a man, the angle said to her that the Holy Spirit would come upon her . . . for nothing would be impossible for God. I am so happy to know that everything is possible for God, for this means that we will always have hope! God is indeed our way, our truth, and our light,

**What Judging Is*

Earlier this morning I was somewhat annoyed when I learned that someone had made a small mistake, unintentionally. The Lord made me see that that was also a form of judgment. In other words, we should always be filled with God's love and be kind to others. Judging is basically being critical of others without love.

**How God Frees Us*

In life we are always solving some problem we face. Once we know Christ personally, such problems just don't bother us that much anymore. After all, we've found the the absolute truth and now integrate everything into serving Christ as a whole. We are no longer attached ourselves to anything but the Lord. Now we do all things in great freedom.

**Compelling Question

Communion experience. God gave all of himself to me, how should I respond?

*****Our Incredible God*****

Think about the God of Christ. Meditate upon him. I am not going to list all the amazing things he's done for us, but they are all incredible! You could never have guessed that he loves us this much. It's easy to live in a dream world, but we who know him are living in a real incredible world!
