"Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

**Jesud Is God

In today's Gospel reading from Luke 10, Jesus said to the seventy-two he sent on the mission to proclaim the Kingdom of God at hand, "Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me." He is equating himself with God the Father here. It was through God's mercy that he came to us as a man so that we might come to know him.

****The Happiest Thing Is . . .

to make God your heavenly Father happy. If you are not happy, that's because you have offended him. Very basic and simple.

***No Laughing Matter

In today's Gospel reading from Luke 10, Jesus sent seventy-two of his disciples ahead of him to every town and place he intended to visit to proclaim the Kingdom of God at hand. He said to them that ii would be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for any town that did not welcome them. So refusing to receive the good news is no laughing matter; it amounts to believing that you are not a sinner and don't need salvation. Basically, it's rejecting God's love for you.

***End-Times Warning***

The ongoing spiritual battle between good and evil is getting fiercer than ever. The swamp or deep state in our government and even the Church is much worse than you know, for evil hides itself. Latest news reveals that the Church is considering blessing same sex marriages, allowing divorced and remarried Catholics to receive Holy Communion, etc. This is nullifying her own basic teachings. I do sense that we are in end times and that the Lord will step in in some way to turn the tide. It'll be something big and more direct. It could very well be the Illumination of Conscience that's been prophesied. Anyway, remain vigilant always and pray harder than ever.

***Get to the Point Please

People are interested in how some people live so long and other mundane things. They talk about the past and the present. If it's about the future, it's about the remainder of this life. You can live to be 100+, you can keep up with all that's happening around the world, and be all prepared for this life; but if you don't think about God and what might happen to your soul, you are beating around the bush!

**God Forever Refreshing

Communion experience. The Lord remains forever refreshing. Receiving him each time is like receiving him for the first time.

*****Only Way to Know the Lord*****

To know Christ is not the same as to know about Christ. From any other person, you only get to know more about Christ. If you read a book and got inspired, that's because it made you turn to Christ. What I am trying to say is that the only way to know Christ is to go directly to him. We all can gain access to the Lord easily. In fact, he's always waiting, hoping to hear from any of us. So turn and open up to him, and he's ready to open up to you. Relatively speaking, all other indirect approaches amount to beating around the bush.

***Best Possible News***

Do you realize that God loves us so much that the moment we believe in his Son, our Savior, we are made fit to go to heaven? This is the good news, in fact, our best possible news! If you don't believe it, you should at least check it out, you have nothing to lose. Ignore it and you could lose your soul for all eternity! Wise up while you still have time.

***Never Look Back***

In today's Gospel reading from Luke 9, Jesus gave this advice to those who would follow him, "No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the Kingdom of God." So we must follow the Lord, let everything go and never look back. This is totally worth it, for the reward of eternal life will be incomparable!

**Obediance Is Necessary

Today is the memorial of Saint Francis of Assisi. The great saint left home, abandoned his inheritance, and became poor and penniless to serve God. We may not be called to go to such extremes, but we must be willing to do whatever we are called to do.

**What if You Die Today?

One good advice is that we should live each day as if it's our last day on earth. The trouble is that we feel pretty good and just don't believe that it's our last day yet. A good exercise would be to pause and imagine that you are dying right now. Then you'll see whether you need to change your way of life before you really die.

**Incredibly Rewarding Living*

Today at Mass I had trouble believing that the Lord God should come to me who was nothing but a lowly sinner to be in union with me. But it happened! And my joy and consolation were great! This is living the incredibly rewarding life in Christ.

***Becoming like Children

In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 18, Jesus said to his disciples, "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven." Children don't know as much as adults, so they readily believe in what they hear. A childlike faith is what God desires. The Lord is telling us how to enter the Kingdom of heaven! My personal experience: When you believe like a child, the Lord actually teaches you as if you were a child, making everything easy for you to understand—a big advantage indeed.

***Simple Reality

God has a great plan for us. If we follow it, things will work out best for both him and us. If we don't, both he and we lose. It's that simple. We have a choice to make. The key question: Do we obey God or not?

**Joy of Prayer

Praying to God should be a joy! It is connecting with your eternal Father to show that you love and trust in him. As his faithful child, you'll inherit all he has one day!

*****To All Catholics*****

If I were asked to say a few words to all fellow Catholics, I'd say this: God's first calling to us is to be holy, so aim to become saints. Don't ever limit what God can do for you. Allow him to shape you and you'll reach your goal effortlessly!

***Amazing Lord

Communion experience. I do not see the Lord visually nor hear him audibly, yet he is more real to me than anyone I see and hear on this planet. The Lord is more amazing than ever.

**Matter of Life and Death*

It's already October 1, time marches on. My first thought this month is that believing in the Lord Jesus Christ is truly a matter of life and death for the soul. So consider this post as a reminder or warning.
