"Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

**Heed Your Spiritual Needs

We have physical needs to be fulfilled in this world, but we also have spiritual needs only God can satisfy. So if you don't even think about God much, then you must have become mired in this material world. It's time to wake up and reorient your life.

**Essential for Spiritual Growth**

God is best enjoyed after you've received the Holy Eucharist at Mass. I am blessed to be able to attend daily Mass at a small chapel at a seminary. Today there were I think eight attendees. After Mass, five left early, so only I and two others remained. Silence reigned and I was able to concentrate fully upon the Lord, meditating, praying, and talking to him from my heart. That was absolutely the best time I had with the Lord today. Spending time with the Lord in solitude is essential for spiritual growth.

**Humbling Experience

Communion experience. The Lord came down from heaven, changed the bread into his own body so that I might receive him to become one with him. That was absolutely humbling and I was most grateful!

***God's Perfect Love

God's love for us is so powerful that it can form the strongest possible bond between him and us. Once we are bonded with him thru this love, we are transformed. Now we are empowered to love others selflessly and do great works for him fearlessly.

***Right Way Dealing with Sin***

God can surely take care of our sins. We repent and he takes them away. This part is easy. The hard part is to remain sinless. The wrong way to achieve that is to struggle hard on our own, while the right approach is to surrender ourselves completely to the Lord God to let him make us holy. This is most effective because it's following his will! A big challenge for us for sure, but if we really want to be perfect, it's the only way. Once we break through with the Lord powering us, it becomes easy coasting all the way.

**Month End Reflection

On this last day of the first month of 2023, I look back on what I've done and what I've failed to do. I am happy that I love the Lord even more, but sorry that I failed to love him as much as I should. You can say that I have improved, but the improvement fell short. Nevertheless, following the Lord remains most exhilarating!

**Complaining No Longer Befitting

Today Tuesday, again the day for praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. After meditating upon the Passion Christ had undergone for our sake, I realized that we should not complain about anything anymore!

**Get Ready Now*

Know that Christ not only will come to judge all of us, he is also ever present with us. So get to know him now to be prepared for his judgment.

***Most Intimate Union

Communion experience. I received the one who loves me the most and whom I love the most. He became part of me and I, part of him. It's the greatest possible intimacy attainable only through the Lord with him.

**Only One We Need to Listen To*

When Jesus says "Be healed" and you are healed. When he says "Follow me" and you'll have eternal life. Everything he says to you is for your good and he is powerful. Listen to him and you'll have not a thing to worry about.

***Are You with the Lord?

        Words we need to hear.

***How to Be Able to Love God?***

Simple and true:—You just let him love you! Let God love you as much as possible and you'll able to love him as much as possible.

***Greatest Consolation

Communion experience. Receiving the Lord in the Eucharist has to be the greatest consolation of my life, for it can overcome all my sorrows.

*God Makes Us Worry-Free

It's good to realize that there is nothing God cannot handle and he loves us and is always with us. This should be good enough to make us worry-free.

**Our Christian Duty

In today's Gospel reading from Mark 5, Jesus healed a demoniac and said to him, "Go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you." It is our duty that we announce to all what the Lord has done for us. Then you say that he wasn't even around when all those things happened. Does this mean that if we don't see him, then it has nothing to do with him? Of course not. God is in control and nothing can happen without his allowance. If you don't believe, you have no faith.

***Obedience to God Begets Peace

Freedom lies in doing God's will. Solid proof: When we disobey the Lord, we lose our peace.

*Joining the Heavenly Family

Jesus is God the Father's only begotten Son and our only Lord. When we follow him, we become God's adopted sons and daughters.

**Taming of the Self

A sinner unchecked is like a wild animal; he is self-centered and does what he wants to do for himself. Once you attain union with the Lord, he has tamed you, you might say. Now you listen to him and want to do his will only. Filled with the Holy Spirit, you willingly and joyfully want to please him alone. You now possess a super sharp conscience; you see all your imperfections and want to eradicate them all. No oppression is felt at any point. In fact, you feel completely liberated and renewed.
