"Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

***Awesome "Lfe-Changing Experience***

Communion experience. The Lord I received in the Holy Eucharist totally cleansed and healed my soul. With him dwelling in me, I simply rested in his love, enjoying his holy presence to the hilt.

***Repayment the Wise Choose*

In today's Gospel reading from Luke 14, Jesus went to dine at the home of one leading Pharisee. He said to the host who invited him, "When you hold a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors, in case they may invite you back and you have repayment. Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." When we invite anyone to dine with us, we usually take into account how many times that person has invited us.The Lord wants us to forget all about getting repaid when we are kind to others; our sole goal is to love and nothing else. Besides, God's repayment for our kindness will be infinitely more satisfying than anyone else's to us in the world. Always focus upon the Lord beyond all things.

***Remaining Holy***

Our mind can only think of one thing at a time. Let that be the Lord Jesus always. Then Satan won't be able to influence you anymore. Thus you remain holy in peace.

***Jesus Will Come Again***

         Very well said:

*A Fine Distinction

To make sure that God's will shall always prevail, it's best to remain open to let the Lord inspire or reveal to you what he wants you to do. Otherwise, you run the risk of following your own will. Just a fine point that's worth mentioning. God bless you all!

*****CHRIST IS THE ONE*****

This is how I feel about Christ. The amazing thing (miracle) is that by believing in him totally, you just know that he is your God! (This is proof to me that he is the true God.Knowing the truth, my life is no longer a void or puzzle; it's now purposeful with me filled to the brim with unabated joy. My Lord is now also my most beloved soulmate! If your "God" is vague and impersonal, you've got the wrong one. By the way, there can be only one true God and Christ fits that bill beyond all expectations!

**Intention, God's or Ours?**

I was watching a popular personality on TV who's Catholic, seeking advice from a well-known priest on her case of obtaining an annulment of her marriage. Now, marriage is a sacrament. According to Christ, what God has joined together, no one should try to break it up. In real life, many marriages do go wrong, and annulment from the Church is sought by the couple. My thoughts for Christians are in any situation we're compelled to take action, we need to examine my intention first. Obeying the Lord must take top priority. Maybe the marriage can be saved, but if we don't care and are determined to void it, that'd be following our own intention, not God's anymore. This is the important point. It's "Thy will be done," not ours, always.

**God Playing Defense**

The Lord God is merciful. He's always patiently waiting for us to turn to him to acknowledge that he loves us, and accept this love from him, while we continue sinning against him. It's like he's always playing defense against us. While we can never match his love, it'd be so good for us to try loving him back as much as we can.

**Cause of Godlessness**

The world is such a godless shape. That's because not all it's people know and follow Christ yet. If they did, we'd be living in a peaceful world with only love for each other.

**Antithesis of Love**

Today is the Memorial of the Passion of Saint John the Baptist. Here is much of the Gospel reading from Mark 6: Herod was the one who had John the Baptist arrested and bound in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, whom he had married. John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” Herodias harbored a grudge against him and wanted to kill him but was unable to do so. She had an opportunity one day when Herod, on his birthday, gave a banquet. Herodias’ own daughter came in and performed a dance that delighted Herod and his guests. The king said to the girl, “Ask of me whatever you wish and I will grant it to you.” He even swore many things to her. She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?” She replied, “The head of John the Baptist.” The girl hurried back to the king’s presence and made her request. The king was deeply distressed, but because of his oaths and the guests he did not wish to break his word to her. So he promptly dispatched an executioner with orders to bring back his head. He went off and beheaded him in the prison. He brought in the head on a platter and gave it to the girl. The girl in turn gave it to her mother. Here'e a case of letting pride override conscience, the very antithesis of Christ dying for our sins.

**Selfless Love vs. Self-centered Love**

When we love God, he sets us free, making us totally selfless. Thus we experience joy and peace. On the other hand, our love for what's of the world is always self-centered, aimed at satisfying ourselves. Thus we never experience freedom nor fulfillment.

***Two Disparate Paths*

Anyone who loves and follows Jesus knows that he is united with his Lord and exactly where he is headed; he experiences freedom, peace, and joy. On the other hand, many reject Christ not because they have found some "truth" that's better, but because their pride has gotten in the way. And they face an unsettling future.

***A Great blessing

In union with God, you develop a super sharp conscience. You become so aware of God's holy presence that any thought of sin becomes unbearable. This dread of sin is most helpful in remaining blameless and achieving inner peace.

***Sign You're Ready to Go to the Lord

When your heart yearns for the Lord, you are ready to go to him.

***A True Man Is . . .

one who is totally responsible for what he does to the Lord God.

***Separation Comes After This Life*

The tragic news this morning: A shooting gunman killed two children and injured 17 others during Mass at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The suspect took his own life afterwards. Let us pray for the souls of all those deceased, those injured, and their families. We need to believe in God all the way to eradicate all evil. As of now in this life, mishaps can happen to all of us, whether you are holy or evil. It's in our next life that we'll either be welcomed or cast out by our heavenly Father forever.

***Sign You Are Christ's***

You desire ardently to be perfect like him.

**No Jusgtification for Sin**

Sometimes one feels that he is justified to commit a sin for some "compelling" reason; he loses control and does it. This is gambling with your soul! No reason can possibly justify sinning! Never ever let sin control you. Once you reach that point of no return, you are a gonerTherefore, seek union with the Lord through the Holy Eucharist to become sin free—only God has complete power over sin.

*****Smart Thinking***

If someone did save your life on earth, you'd be so grateful to that person and make him or her your best friend. Now, we have Jesus who is ready to save you for all eternity if you believe in him—shouldn't you rejoice and make him your best friend too?

**Best Way to Defeat Satan**

Remain in union with Christ and ignore the Evil One completely.

**Making God Praise You**

In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 23, Jesus continued to denounce the scribes and Pharisees for being hypocrites. He said "Woe to you" at least three times to them. You don't ever want to hear the Lord say that to you, for if he judges you to be wrong, you are done for. Instead, remain faithful to him always to hear him say at the end of your service: Well done, my good and faithful servant. Come, share your master's joy. (See Matthew 25:21.)

***Consequences of Sin***

When you sin, no matter how much pleasure you get out of it, you will lose your inner peace and hate yourself for it, let alone make the Lord feel sorry for you. Now you are in urgent need of God's mercy.

**Sweetest Dwelling

Communion experience. In Christ, all our pains dissolve. Thus he is our sweetest dwelling.

***Basic Principles***

Only God can fundamentally change us for the better. To initiate that process, we need to submit ourselves to him.

***First Key to Salvation***

The gate to heaven is narrow to those who have a lot of pride. To the most humble, it's wide open. I've just given you the first key to salvation. To have zero pride is hard, but if your pride causes you to reject Christ as your Savior, you are going overboard.

**Be Last to Be First**

In today's Gospel reading from Luke 13, Jesus talked about the narrow door, salvation and rejection. He revealed that many who think that they are good enough to be saved may end up being cast out of God's kingdom instead. Then he added, "Behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last." It's clear that if we see ourselves to be poor sinners needing all the help from God to get into heaven, we will be saved. Heaven has no room for pride.

*****Encountering the Lord Head-On*****

From today's entrance antiphon based upon Psalms 86:1-3, we have the verse Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I cry to you all the day long. Have you ever cried to the Lord? I recommend that you do that from time to time. Find a time and place you can be alone, then cry to God straight from your heart, telling him everything you want him to know. You can even beg for his mercy the whole time. When you are this open with him, he'll absolutely be open with you. If you've never done this before, it could very well turn out to be a most exhilarating experience! I was prompted by the Holy Spirit recently to do this one morning after I woke up in bed and ended up shedding many tears of joy and feeling completely relieved and free! This is encountering the Lord head-on. When God listens to you, you are healed spiritually!

***God's Ultimate Beauty***

I just discovered the amazingly talented Uruguayan water-color painter Alvaro Castagnet. You can see his works featured on many YouTube videos. It's true that many of our creations are beautiful, but the beauty of the Lord God who created us all is on an entirely different level. Everything beautiful we create merely reflects his beauty in an imperfect way, whereas God's beauty is more abstract, pure and righteous, affecting the soul and spirit. Once you sense it, your life's never the same again. Let his supreme beauty change you forever!

***God's Greatest Blessing for Me***

It is receiving Christ in the Eucharist at Mass!

***God Needs to Be Taken Seriously*

Each time at Mass, we are invited to receive the Lord present in the Holy Eucharist—he's ready to lift our spirit to the highest possible level to be in union with him! Yet there are those who are not interested in such an opportunity due to their pride. And there are also those who do accept the invitation but don't take it seriously enough. They are in no better state. In the Parable of the Wedding Feast (Matthew 22), one guest who did accept the invitation but showed up without wearing a wedding garment got cast outside into the darkness.

*** Power We Possess**

Everything we do on earth counts, and every prayer we say to the Father from the heart goes straight to him and produces fruit. This is the Lord's amazing power those of us who follow him possess!

***Daring to Be Different*

In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 23, Jesus denounced the scribes and Pharisees for being hypocrites, not practicing what they preach and performing works only to be seen. As Christians, we must exemplify Christ as shining lights in the dark world. This is our mission and we must dare to be different for the sake of Christ. This is living in the Lord and not being of the world.

**Communion Aspiration*

Communion experience. I totally let the Lord assimilate me so that I might enter the deepest possible union with him.

***Connected to God Are We**

We should know that God has created us out of love to be his children, intending that we become heirs to his kingdom. If you're unaware of this, let it be a realization that can change your perception of both God and yourself to help you connect with him most intimately!

***Simple Way to Be Saved***

When you go before the Lord, the slightest sincerity or hypocrisy he detects right away. Always approach the Lord with complete candidness and you'll have no fear and be saved by him.

Thursday, August 21, 2025

***Yearning as Christ

Communion experience. Loving the Lord automatically makes you want to save all souls, for that's what he yearns for the most!

^***Boosting Your Union with God****

The more you pray for mercy on you for falling short of loving Christ the Lord, the more he draws you into deeper union with him.

*****The LORD's Commanding Presence***

In Exodus 3:14, God said to Moses: I am who I am. Then he added: This is what you will tell the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you. The Lord God has always existed and will always exist; there is no beginning nor end for him. I see him as the only absolute reality. We now also know thru Christ that he is the very embodiment of love. Knowing all this, it behooves us to submit ourselves to him completely.

A Wake-up Warning!

In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 22, Jesus told the Parable of the Wedding Feast to the chief priests and the elders of the people. At the end, he concluded, "Many are invited, but few are chosen." This has remained true to this very day. The Lord deals with eternity and we'll have to deal with it too, for we do not live forever on earth. The day will come when we'll end up with either the greatest joy or the greatest sorrow.

***Absorbing the Lord

Communion experience. I opened myself to absorb this heavenly bread thoroughly in order to achieve the best possible union with the Lord.

***The Lord to Be Revered and Trusted***

Today's Gospel reading from Matthew 20 was on The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard. A landowner hired various laborers to work in his vineyard. Some started out early in the morning, some around noon, and still others later in the afternoon. At the end of the day, the all received the same daily wage. This made those who had worked longer hours grumble against the owner, believing that that those who had worked less should have been paid less. He said to one of them in reply, "My friend, I am not cheating you. Did you not agree with me for the usual daily wage? Take what is yours and go. What if I wish to give this last one the same as you? Or am I not free to do as I wish with my own money? Are you envious because I am generous?" You see, we are not to judge anyone, for the Lord God is our only judge, When we grumble against, complain about, or question the Lord, we border on judging him and that's being irreverent, to say the least. He is to be trusted always.

***Going with God***

In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 19, Jesus said to his disciples: “It will be hard for one who is rich to enter the Kingdom of heaven. Again, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the Kingdom of God.” The disciples were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus answered, For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.” Now, I have two statements here. (1) Since for God all things are possible, it'll be wise for us to trust in him and do his will always. (2) Since for God all things are possible, it'll be good for us to ignore him and follow our own will. Only one of them makes perfect sense and the other, no sense at all.

***Pitiable Fools*

It seems that the commandment people rampantly violate nowadays is the one You shall not bear false witness. In this country, fake news and unconscionable politicians have been spreading lies nonstop for years, if not decades. I truly feel sorry for them, for this is serious transgression and we'll all have to face the Lord God to give an account of ourselves one day..

***Home in Christ***

Communion experience. All of me . . . my heart, my mind, my soul, and my spirit are now home in Christ and I experience an unfathomable peace.

***Why We Are Divided***

In today's reading from Luke 12, Jesus said to his disciples, "Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." This shows that Jesus is truly God and we are sinners. Do you see it? There just isn't another way to explain that.

**Hypocrisy, a Subtle Evil*

The Lord does not like hypocrites. They are the ones to whom Jesus said "Woe to you" repeatedly (Matthew 23). Any Christian who addresses Jesus as Lord but does not obey him becomes a hypocrite. To obey and fail is OK, for you can always try again. But to start out not obeying is being dead wrong.

**Do All for God's Sake*

Catholics do not always dress properly for Mass. At Mass this morning, the lead singer wore a dress with her two arms completely exposed from above the shoulder on. It's summer, but the church was air-conditioned. That might be all right when you are the star performing on some stage, but not when you become a distraction to all there to worship the Lord. I've seen a lot worse in the past. Anyway, we need to dress and actually do all things for the Lord's sake and not for ourselves.

*****Critically Important Message for Christians*****

On July 10, I posted "Good Sensible Video" on "how to never get angry or bothered by anyone" which gave some really good sensible advice. This video today, an NDE story on how critically important it is to forgive others, makes a fitting sequel. It lasts just over 30-minutes, but every word of it is worth listening to.

***What's Red & Can Make Us White as Snow?*

The Most Precious Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

**Worthiest Goal**

From today's first reading from Joshua 24: Decide today whom you will serve. We all need to choose a goal in life to keep us going. Most people aim for getting rich or famous, but you'll find that the wisest and most rewarding goal to be serving the Lord God—this is how he has made us.

**Picture of Reality**

Christ is the brightest light shining before us, but many are afraid of looking at it because it's too dazzling and would expose all their hidden sins. They look around and see innumerable things that are attractive, so they head straight for them, not knowing that they can lead them away from God the truth forever. This is the clear but sad picture I see today.

*****Not to Be Neglected!***

I was at the emergency department of a hospital this morning and saw the numerous patients suffering from various illnesses there seeking help, with many clearly in pretty bad shape. We naturally seek help when we are not well physically—but we often neglect seeking help when our soul is unwell. Just know that an unclean and sick soul cannot enter heaven and must be cleansed and healed in this life before we die!

*****God's Great Mercy***

Here's a wise message that can save you from hell.

***We Cannot Fail!***

Communion time thought: The almighty God loves us to death, so we cannot possibly fail to become victorious in the end if we love and trust in him.

****Hard Choice****

Today is the Memorial of Saint Maximilian Kolbe, Priest and Martyr. The saint showed his greatest love by volunteering to die in place of another prisoner at Auschwitz. When we are in love with Christ, it's easy to feel that we'd be happy to die for him or the Holy Mother, but to die for another sinner seems to be another matter, especially if the person happens to be a great evil one. Then the Lord showed me that he died for all of us and we're not to select whom to die for or not, for to love him is to love all others.

**A "Secret" to Realize**

As sinners, we are easily enslaved by sin. Then we turn to Christ and he easily sets us free. It follows that the more we abandon ourselves to the Lord, the more we are set free by him.

Wednesday, August 13, 2025

***Ultimate Personal Relationship**

The Lord Christ exists. How we relate ourselves to him is of paramount importance. When we get this relationship right, we get our relationships with all others right. If we get along with the Lord, we'll know how to get along with all others. So everything . . . our entire wellbeing now, our salvation, our eternal destination . . . all hinge upon our personal relationship with Christ. Love and follow him, and we can't possibly go wrong!

*****What's Exciting About Christ:***

There's no limit to how much you can let him love you and fill you with joy!

***Unavoidable Reality***

One day we'll appear before Christ the Lord to give an account of ourselves.

**Becoming like Children*

In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 18, Jesus said to his disciples, "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven." All of us have been children once. I still remember the days when I was one, I was carefree, playing and having fun most of the time, knowing that my parents were taking full care of me. I believe that this is the way the Lord wants us to feel about him, as he is our heavenly Father who can take full care of us, making us carefree.

**First Joy of the Day*

I woke up this morning and felt the joy that I was now consciously aware of the presence of Christ, my Lord and my God.

***God Must Exist***

On July 29, I posted "Awesome Universe (God)" featuring the largest telescope in the world. The image of the billions of galaxies up to billions of light years away it has captured are truly mind-boggling. Now imagine that in this unbelievably vast universe there exists a tiny little planet known as Earth which has just the right environment to support billions of inhabitants know as human beings. If that were true, you'd definitely believe that there had to be an infinite super being like God who made all this a reality.

Monday, August 11, 2025

***Sin Is Serious***

We must learn not to sin. It's possible that you commit a serious sin in an instant and lose your soul for all eternity! Sin can sink us like quicksand; once you fall into one, if you struggle, you sink even deeper. To fight sin head-on is never wise. To run away from it is being smart! Train yourself to turn away from sin decisively at the first moment you sense the temptation. Our best guard is to remain in union with Christ to develop a super sharp conscience. Anyway, know that to sin is to reject God and and not care about your own soul!

**Only God Can Set Us Free**

When you are able to forgive someone, you feel free instantly. This is how the Lord has made us, for he is our great liberator. At any rate, anytime you do his will, you feel free. Basically, we are good at enslaving ourselves and need the Lord to set us free.

**Weak Christians**

Although Christians comprise only about 30% of the world's population, they must bear the blame for the world being in such a godless state, for the number of Christians who have surrendered completely to the Lord is relatively small. If they were all hot on fire, they should be able to convert the entire world in their lifetime.

***Most Beautiful and Powerful***

Communion experience. Love is the most beautiful and powerful force there is and our God happens to be love—this is no coincidence! Today I was invited to receive the most beautiful and powerful Lord into me!

***Loving Mother Mary*

At church this morning during Mass, I noticed the large bronze statue of Mary holding tightly her infant son Jesus in her arms to the right of the altar, and I thought of the intense unbearable pain she must have suffered when she saw him being crucified on the cross, for he was not only her Lord and God, but also her own son! For this, we should love our Holy Mother even more!

**The Lord's Warning*

In today's Gospel reading from Luke 12, Jesus asked his disciples to remain vigilant, for at an hour they did not expect, he would come. Being vigilant and prepared is a clear sign that you follow him and expect his coming. But for all those unprepared, they'll get the shock of life.

**God Love Us . . .

so anything that's not intended for drawing you to him is most likely not from him.

Saturday, August 9, 2025

**Beyond Belief**

Communion experience. Christ is my Lord and my God—I am rich beyond belief!

***Going All the Way with God***

If we truly love God, we'd loathe all worldly things. If we truly believe in God, we'd rely on him fully alone. If we are truly in union with the Lord, we'd think as he thinks always.

***Invincible Combination for Us***

In today's first reading from Deuteronomy 6, Moses said to the people: "Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD alone! Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength." This sounds proper and perfectly logical. If we keep this commandment faithfully, God will surely bless us to the full. Today's Gospel acclamation came from what Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 17: If you have faith, nothing will be impossible for you. This sounds right and is totally logical. If we really believe in it, it should absolutely work out that way. With this powerful combination of great love for God and great faith in God, we shall surely be invincible!

**Another Joy**

When we follow the Lord to the letter, we experience a special joy. Again, this is how he has made us!

***Our Only Choice***

Today is the Memorial of St. Dominic. In the Gospel reading from Matthew, Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." So it comes down to choosing Christ or ourselves. This simplifies things, but it doesn't get us off the hook, for the choice remains.

***When You Know You Know Jesus*

In John 6, when some disciples of Jesus had decided to leave him, he asked the Twelve, "Do you also want to leave?" Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God." When you don't ever want to leave Jesus, you know that you really know him.

***Praying Experience***

Yesterday I got home after morning Mass and found that my wife had already been taken to emergency. I found out it's because her blood pressure shot way up for unknown reasons. Of course, I prayed hard for her. Now praying hard doesn't mean you panic and trying hard to pray. On the contrary, you simply open up completely to tell the Lord what you supplicate from him. Afterwards, you confidently trust that he's going to take care of things for you. Today my wife is still waiting to go through some tests, but so far it seems that she is returning to normal. I praise the Lord for that and look forward to her coming home later today. (It's almost 4 hours ago that I posted the above. I just learned that the doctors couldn't find anything wrong and she's on hr way home now,).

***True Savior***

Communion experience. I realize that the Lord I consume is the only one who can heal and perfect my soul! He is my true Savior.

*****Way to Become Perfect*****

For us to be perfect is to be sinless, and that rules out all of us on earth. But there was one among us once and is still with us today who is forever perfect, and that's Christ the Lord. We absolutely need him because he's the only one who can also make us perfect.

**"Smart" advice**

God's mercy is infinite, but his judgment is just and precise. We get either saved or damned in the end! So play smart and do your best to be on the right side of the Lord always.

***Becoming Perfect***

In Matthew 5:48, Jesus said to his disciples, "Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect." So Jesus wants us to be perfect, to be like the heavenly Father. And we know that when we see God in heaven, we'll be made perfect. Meanwhile, let's believe and be blessed. Seeking to attain union with God thru the Holy Eucharist will absolutely give you the best jump-start on becoming perfect. Yes, The Lord can make all of us perfect!

**What Are We Busy for?**

I worked out at the gym a little bit this morning. It's a noisy place. You hear all the machines running, and weights banging and dropping all around plus loud music accompanying an ongoing exercise class. To counteract all that, seriously it's an appropriate time to say some prayers. Anyway, when I saw that everyone was busily doing their thing, I realized that this was also what's going on around the whole world. So what are we all busy for? Well, if we do not store up any treasure in heaven meanwhile, then we are squandering away all our valuable time on earth.

***Living for Best Possible Returns*

Forget all about yourself and live only for Christ, then you'll receive all he's got for you, returns beyond all expectations!

***Nothing to Say to the Lord***

Communion experience. I am speechless! Here's the Lord, the I AM, the alpha and omega, the infinite God who knows all about me and loves me to death. He has already saved and completely fulfilled me. What more is there to say? I'm just going to trust and follow him in silence.

*****Again, We Have a Choice****

Today's Communion antiphon based on 1 John 3:2—When Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. It is absolutely awesome that we can be like Christ. We can get a head start by seeking to attain union with him through the Holy Eucharist now and become perfect when we see him. This sure beats not doing anything and ending up not knowing how we're going to get judged when we see him!

***Nothing Can Stop . . .***

us from growing old and dying. Then nothing can stop God from loving us and wanting to save us from sin so that we may have life in heaven forever! This is all we need to know. Have Christ and we can cast aside all worries and be set for eternity!

***God's Delights and Sweetness***

Today's Communion antiphon, Wisdom 16:20: You have given us, O Lord, bread from heaven, endowed with all delights and sweetness in every taste. To me, Christ is that bread, for he is most delightful and sweet. How so, as in the world we find only those people who amuse us, please us, flatter us ,,, in general, inflate our egos delightful and sweet, and Christ does none of that? Well, that's because the Lord knows how to reach our hearts, bypassing all our senses ... and the delights and sweetness we experience all come from him directly, humbling us in the process.

***Loohing Up to Christ

It's Tuesday, the day of praying the five Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, the last one being the Crucifixion and Death. Christ was fully aware that he's going to be put to death on the cross in the end, yet he felt only agony without any fear, knowing that he's carrying out the will of God the Father. I am thinking if any of us foreknew that we're going to be put to death like that, how would we feel? I can tell you that I probably wouldn't be able to sleep well every night and totally fall apart as that day gets closer. Being aware thus, I resolve to respect, love, and obey the Lord wholeheartedly even more.

*****A World of Hardened Hearts***

Today, I see how much God loves us and how most of the world doesn't even care. God has practically bent over backwards to save us, waiting and hoping that we would at least turn and glance at him, yet we march on as if he doesn't even exist. This is the pathetic picture I see in my mind. I truly weep for those with such hardened hearts. Like those who crucified the Lord once, they know not what they do!

**Watching, the Name of the Game

Today's Communion antiphon based upon Matthew 24:46-47: Blessed is the servant whom the Lord finds watching when he comes. Amen, I say to you: He will put that servant in charge of all his property. We who follow the Lord must keep watching, for he will come unexpectedly. At the same time, we must watch whatever we do to be sure that we are ready. Anything we do, the Lord knows.

**Healing of the Soul**

When you ask the Lord to heal your body, he may not comply right away if that's not the best thing for you then. Now, if you ask him to hear your soul, he'll alway comply, for that's what he has wanted all along.

**Returning to God Is Simple**

If you really want to go all the way home to your heavenly Father, start trusting in and following Christ right now—there's no point in delaying. God always expects a yes or no answer from us, for responding any other way is being duplicitous.

**Christ Needed Once More*

In today's Gospel reading from Luke 12, Jesus told the crowd to guard against all greed. I see greed to be the main sickness of all generations. We always seek more and more fame, power, money, and/or material things to feel good. Then we never become truly happy as we fall further and further away from God. Again, Christ is the only one who can turn us around to make us heaven bound.

**Christ Needed!*

In today's second reading from Colossians 3, Paul wrote, "Put to death the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that that is idolatry. Stop lying to one another." Clearly, a big change for us is necessary. Now, we cannot possibly effect all that on our own. Thus, we absolutely need Christ in our lives if we ever hope to succeed.

***A Great Disposition to Have***

Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." To be poor in spirit to me means that I do not possess anything and am ready to receive all that the Lord wants to bestow upon me.

***Powerless Without God***

It's impossible for us to become holy and perfect without help from the Lord God of Christ. Most of us gladly offer the best advice we know of to help others to overcome their problems. But if God were not involved, no fundamental changes would take place. When the advice helped, the change never lasted long—I've seen this again and again. (An example case might be asking someone to control their temper.) Until the person you try to help can change themselves internally, the problem remains. Now, the the Lord Christ our creator is the only one who is able to change any of us open to him fundamentally. So, to help others, we need to pray to him first and bring him into the picture. Basically, converting others becomes our primary aim.

*****Highest Exaltation on Earth*****

Communion experience. When you receive the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Lord Jesus in the Holy Eucharist with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, you are exalted to the highest possible degree on earth! And you become most beautiful to him!

**Natural Outcome

The More You Praise God, the more you become humble like him.

**Only Two Ways to Live**

We either live unselfishly for God or live selfishly for ourselves. If you live for God, you become free of yourself and experience peace. On the other hand, if you live for yourself, you become your own slave and will not experience true joy ever. These two outcomes are a matter of course.

***So Easy to Know***

When God lets you know something, you know that it is true, When he forgives you, you know that you are clean. When he gives you joy, you know that it's his joy. When he promises you eternal life, you know you are heaven bound. I can go on and on.

**Heart on Fire

Communion experience. The heart-warming love of Christ set my heart afire.

***Direct Path to God***

All saints know God intimately because they finally go directly to Christ to let him perfect them. So the best way for us is also to go directly to the Lord, even bypassing the saints, to seek union with him, through the Holy Eucharist.

*****Secret to Knowing the Lord*****

When I was majoring in mathematics in college, the home work usually involved proving theorems. Once I was given a really difficult one to prove, I racked my brain so hard until finally I got a glimpse of the solution at the limit of my perception and quickly jotted it down before it faded away. That was exciting but exhausting. By contrast, this morning at Mass I simply remained open and the Lord unexpectedly gave me an insight which remained with me. That was exciting and uplifting.
Here's what I saw. We don't know God because basically we don't want to know him. If we really want to know him without questioning, we'll know that he is indeed our God. It works out this way because you are open to truth.

**To Be Chosen by the Lord**

John 15:16 is today's Communion antiphon: It was not you who chose me, says the Lord, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit.... The fact is that we all can choose the Lord to become his chosen ones. When we are open to him, he will show us how to bear fruit.

***One Great Joy Is . . .***

knowing that Christ the Lord is pleased with you.
