***The Lord to Be Revered and Trusted***

Today's Gospel reading from Matthew 20 was on The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard. A landowner hired various laborers to work in his vineyard. Some started out early in the morning, some around noon, and still others later in the afternoon. At the end of the day, the all received the same daily wage. This made those who had worked longer hours grumble against the owner, believing that that those who had worked less should have been paid less. He said to one of them in reply, "My friend, I am not cheating you. Did you not agree with me for the usual daily wage? Take what is yours and go. What if I wish to give this last one the same as you? Or am I not free to do as I wish with my own money? Are you envious because I am generous?" You see, we are not to judge anyone, for the Lord God is our only judge, When we grumble against, complain about, or question the Lord, we border on judging him and that's being irreverent, to say the least. He is to be trusted always.
